About :
Guras is a Nepalese restaurant in the UK that brings the comfort of traditional Nepalese cooking to a modern dining space. The brand focuses on authenticity, warmth, and the rich cultural heritage behind every dish. From homestyle flavours to heartfelt hospitality, Guras offers an experience that feels both familiar and refreshing, celebrating Nepalese culture while adapting seamlessly to a contemporary audience.

Conceptualisation :
The logo takes inspiration from the natural form of the Guras flower, which is an important part of Nepalese culture. I’ve simplified the flower while keeping its organic feel intact, so it still carries its character but in a cleaner, more modern way. Placing it inside a soft, symmetrical dome gives the symbol a sense of completeness and calm, reflecting the warm and wholesome experience the restaurant wants to create.

Visual Identity Design :
The visual identity combines the flower symbol with a refined serif typeface that adds a touch of elegance to the brand. The overall look stays clean and contemporary, while still holding on to the warmth and cultural essence of Nepal. The balance between the organic form and the structured typography helps the brand feel inviting, modern, and rooted at the same time.
Colour Palette :
The emerald green and yellow ochre palette brings a sense of richness to the brand, elevating the logo and adding a warm, elegant touch to the overall identity.
